– Come out and join us for the first Neon Blues, a new monthly blues dance night! We’re shuffling our feet on 1st Fridays from here on out.
– Neon Blues seeks to honor and amplify the Black American voices and culture that birthed the Blues and that continue to pioneer the genre a century later. We partner with Pudget Sound Black and Indigenous owned businesses in order to support our local community. Each month we will be inviting a new vendor into the space to share the space with us and show off their wonderful wares.
– We’re starting off with a Monster Mash Blues Bash! This month we’re joined by the glorious Elnah Jordan Experience. A Seattle blues staple, Elnah has been enchanting audiences and dancers with her soulful sound for decades, and we are so excited to have her join us to kick things off right.
– After that we’ll be treated to a sultry late night set by Darneshia Smith. She’ll be taking us into the witching hour with some sultry, spooktacular vibes. The ghoulishly good night will be closed out with some bone jangling tunes from Justin Kisle.
– Our community partner this month is Noir Lux Candle Co.
— Noir Lux Candle Co. was born a labor of love, and has slowly but surely grown into a booming small business and now brick-and-mortar studio and apothecary. At Noir Lux, we believe in self-care, good vibes, and nostalgia. We are a black-owned, woman-owned business. Each item that we create is handcrafted in small batches, specifically with you in mind.
– Wanna join us but spending is tight? Ask us about our sliding scale. The Blues is for all, and we want everyone to join us in celebrating it.
